We Miss Daddy

Ellie was having a fun time with Daddy. Ben left today to take the teens/grade schoolers to Minnesota to let them tour the teaching/pastoral college. He'll be home on Saturday night we miss him very much. Mom and I took Ellie trick or treating at the City Center downtown tonight. There will be pictures updated tomorrow.

Silly Girl

I found little Eliana sitting in her basket of play food the other morning. She thinks it's fun to sit in new places, she also likes to sit in her basket of books now too.

Tea Time

Mom got a tea set for Eliana and her. Now the minute mom comes over she says, "tea!..cookie!" Yesterday mom came over and watched Ellie while Ben and I went out ot dinner and Ellie didn't even want to wave to us out the window, she only wanted to play with the tea set.

Grandpa

Grandpa Berger came to visit after his Dr. appt and stayed to have supper with us.

Fall Days

With the weather getting colder it's been harder and harder to keep Ellie inside. She stands at the window and looks outside saying "play". I recently signed her up for two classes at the Y to keep her (and me) occupied this fall/winter.

Here's Eliana jamming away to Sesame Street in her PJs.

I have been taking a cake decorating class. This is my first class project. A Pooh cake just for Ellie :)

Alot of Daddy and Grandma

Ellie's been spending alot of time lately with her dad and grandma. I've really been having trouble with my back. I went to the MD a couple days earlier than scheduled as I've been dealing with this back pain for two weeks. He thinks I have a nerve that's being pinched and gave me prednisone and some pain meds to help me sleep better. I'm praying this works, this is supposed to be the time when I'm feeling the best :(

Jacob's Baptism

Although Jacob was baptized at the hospital by Ben, he had his baptism reaffirmed on Sunday. Here are some pictures from after the service.

The Godparents.

Pumpkin Patch

After Eliana's nap today I took her to a local pumpkin patch. We took a tractor ride on some hay bales out to the pumpkin patch and we each picked one big pumpkin, one little pumpkin, a gourd , and two ears of corn. She LOVED it, but was very concerned anytime she'd see a ladybug on me. :)

Sleepy Girl

Here are a couple of pictures I found on the memory card that I don't think I've posted. It's not very often that I get her unstrapped and she's still not woken up.

Mmmmmm!

Ben was gone all day today for a conference in Milwaukee and will be returning late tonight. Ellie and I had a good day, even though we missed Ben. This morning Ellie went to Preschool Power Hour at church and did awesome! There's time for a bible story, craft, music and game with the kids, then afterwards the parents have a discussion for 1/2 hour while the kids have snack and play time. Ellie hasn't really been without me for something like this. She did wonderfully. The other moms that were watching the kids thought it was funny when she ate her goldfish and held out her hands for them to be wiped. She's not a big fan of dirty hands :)
After Ellie's nap I took her to the park and she certainly didn't want to leave. Then we went to dinner with my mom. She got to sit in a booster seat like a big girl and absolutely loved it.

I wasn't thinking too much when I told them they could put hot fudge topping on the ice cream Ellie got as part of her kid's meal.
What a mess.

Big Girl

Ellie would now rather sit in a chair like us to eat. She's getting to be quite independent.

Update

If it has to do with her daddy.....she wants to play with it. She loves playing with his shoes and ties especially. I'm wondering if she'll ever be a mama's girl. It's hard to tell, but her shirt says, I'll always be a daddy's girl...how true!
Just a quick update. I got my ultrasound report back. Looks like I'll be needing another one in a couple months. My placenta is lying near, if not over my cervix which can lead to a condition called placenta previa. Because of this I'll have another ultrasound at 30 weeks. At that time we'll be able to determine where exactly the placenta is and if a c-section will be necessary. They were also not able to visualize our baby's bladder the greatest, it was probably the position of the baby at the time, so they'll look into that as well. We're both doing very well, except for headaches and bad Sciatic pain.

Sawyer and Owen

Mom and I went to visit Amber, Owen, and Sawyer on Thursday after Ellie's diaper study. What beautiful little boys she has :)
Despite her the look she's giving the camera, she liked holding Sawyer.
And of course grandma had to be shared
Here are some of Amber and Sawyer

and of course, Owen who just loved having his picture taken.

Meet our new baby to be!

This is the face of our new little Berger. We only got one picture this time, the eyes are looking right at you with the top of the head to the right and the chin on the left. The little hands are in there too towards the bottom. He/she was giving the ultrasound tech problems because of the way he/she was lying, but as soon as she brought the radiologist into the exam room, the baby cooperated. :) I'm just waiting for the report, but everything as far as I'm concerned looked just fine. At the end of the exam I asked the ultrasound tech if she knew what we were having and she said she was pretty certain. I really wanted to know.....but then again I didn't, so we didn't find out what we were having, you'll have to patiently wait along with us. Ellie keeps pointing to the ultrasound picture and says "baby" and then kisses my belly. She's going to be such a good big sister.
We've had a busy couple of days between diaper study, visiting Amber, Owen and new baby Sawyer, watching the Brewers and I'm just about to leave for work today (Ben took Ellie to diaper study). I'll update with more pictures when I have time.

If she only knew

If you really know me, you'd know that I was very sensitive about "girly" things when I was growing up, including bras, even sports bras. We'll see if Ellie turns out to be the same way, she certainly doesn't seem to be embarrassed by the pictures I took of her playing with my sports bras. Yes, they're clean!
