Playdate

Here are a few pictures from a previous playdate that I didn't post yet. Ellie doesn't have any of her classes this week due to Thanksgiving and of course she and I both have a miserable cold

Sesame Street Live

We told Eliana last night that my mom would take her to see Sesame Street Live, Elmo's Green Thumb in the morning. Well, guess what? She woke up saying "nana, Elmo!" over and over and over. We learned our lesson. Anyway, mom and Ellie had a wonderful time. Mom said the look on her face was priceless. Eliana loved watching Elmo. Thanks mom :)

She took her nap today with her Elmo doll.

Playtime

To say the least she's ecstatic to go to the Y on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This day we were going to a playdate though, which she was equally excited about.

Camera Time

Eliana has definately been keeping us busy. She surprises us with the words and phrases that come out of her mouth that we never knew she was catching onto (don't worry, none of them are bad).
Self Portrait...

Playing with her shadow.

I guess it's a "cameraphone"

Finally!

I have had the hardest time uploading pictures and I finally got it to work. I just gave up for a couple of days. Ben has been gone again with the other pastors to a meeting in Milwaukee. Ellie wakes up in the morning asking for "dada" and asks for her daddy all day. She really misses him. Of course right before Ben left on Sunday both Ellie and I started to not feel well, onto the next cold of the season.
Ellie's new thing is lifting the cushions from the couch and playing. I caught her flipping up the cushions and reading her books.

Hiding

Eliana has been into hiding lately and wanting us to find her. The other day I caught her trying to hide in the blinds.

Midway Maternity Pics

Some of you have been asking about my expanding tummy, here are a few pictures from a 24 week maternity shoot. I'll have more taken in January and those will include Eliana and Ben. Amy, the photographer, did a great job with the editing as I had some big red circles on my stomach from where the nurses put the monitoring patches on me when I was in the ER.

Little Mommy

Eliana is becoming quite the little mommy. She loves to bring her baby to me and tell me that he's poopy. He wipes him clean and puts on a new diaper. She started using her play ironing board as a changing table :) Here she's entertaining her baby by reading her a book, after which she fed her baby. I'm sure she'll be just as much of a help with our new baby.
Eliana has also become quite a mommy's girl. Mom and I took Ellie shopping today and Ellie stayed with mom and shopped while I did a bit of shopping on my own. All of a sudden I could hear her crying from the other end of the store, "mommy, mommy". It came completely out of the blue. I'm not sure what's going on, but all she wants is me. She even cries when Ben or my mom gives her her bath at night, which is so unlike her. Many people have told me that maybe she knew I wasn't feeling well. Who knows?!?!?!
This too shall pass.

Halloween

Ellie didn't really go trick or treating, we stopped to show her off to a couple neighbors and the rest of the time she handed out candy.

Boo Bash

Mom and I on Tuesday took Eliana to the Boo Bash downtown Appleton. We ate dinner in the City Centre and then Ellie went trick or treating in the Children's Museum. She had a blast as you can tell (except for the picture where she's crying, she wasn't too fond of another kid's costume or something).

Later in the evening...or should I say early morning things got interesting. Ben was out of town in Minnesota and I had put Ellie to bed. I laid in bed and slowly had pain that started to build in my sternum and eventually wrapped around me to my back. I called mom and she ended up taking me to the ER while my grandma Shannon came over and sat at the house with Ellie. I finally got home from the ER around 3AM with a diagnosis of a gallbladder attack. Mom actually stayed with me Friday night as well, and of course I had another painful night, but decided not to go the ER. I haven't had any significant problems since, and had an ultrasound today to check my liver, gallbladder, and pancreas and the tech said she didn't see anything significant. So, now I'm left to wonder what did cause the pain and will it happen again in the future? We will still have another ultrasound of the baby in 5 more weeks as well.
