Cooped Up

It took a bit for Eliana to get used to being unable to swim every day. Back to the stir crazy winter days. Ben and I were able to go to dinner on Thursday night to celebrate my birthday (it was Tuesday) and last night I was able to go to dinner with a friend of mine who I haven't had the chance to catch up with in quite some time. Ben coached his basketball team to a victory last night too. Yesterday I had my 37 week check up and all is well. I'm back to measuring on track, I had been measuring 2-3 cm small. I personally think all the eating out has made my tummy stick out further, thus the extra 2-3 cm :)

She has her own sense of fashion. It will be in style soon.

Sturgeon Bay #2

Eliana had the opportunity to swim every day while we were at the Bridgeport, even twice a day. Not only that, but she also got to play in the big whirlpool tub.

Eliana got to spend more time with Ben's co-worker and his wife and grew quite fond of the both of them :) She "talked" on the phone to them.

Sturgeon Bay

After my MD appt on Friday my Dr. said it was alright if Ellie and I joined Ben at his Pastor's conference in Sturgeon Bay. We are staying at the Bridgeport. We have a really nice room with a fireplace and personal outdoor patio (not that it matters in the middle of winter). We are right across from the pool and kid's play area. We promised Eliana we would go to the pool when we got to the hotel. She LOVED it. They had a seperate kid's swimming area and water slide as well. That's all she's talked about. I'll be taking Eliana to the pool again tomorrow while Ben is at his conference.

Storyboards

Here are the two storyboards I made, the first one is for the baby's room, the second is in Ellie's room. Eliana loves it and gets excited every time she sees it.

Maternity Pictures

I got the CD with the rest of my maternity pictures and I put a couple up in the hallway and made a storyboard for Eliana's room and then one for the baby's room. I really am happy I had them taken. I can guarantee you that last time I was pregnant I would have never done anything like this, but I regretted it. I made sure to do it this time because you never know if this is going to be the last pregnancy, it's been a rough one.

Special Delivery

My mom, being the wonderful mom that she is, took Eliana for the morning so I could rest. I actually ended up using the time to get ready for the new baby by getting out all the clothes and bedding, etc and washing it. That had been weighing on my shoulders for a couple weeks. When the girls came back mom got this....I mean Ellie got this special cookie for me as my birthday is next Tuesday. A little early present. Thank you girls.

Car Fun

Mom got Eliana a remote controlled car for Christmas and we got it out and of course the car didn't work. Mom found her a second one and here she is playing with it. Sorry the camera work is a bit poor, but I was shaking from laughing at her laugh.

Chili's

Ben and I took Eliana out to Chili's tonight for supper. She loves going out to eat in restaurants. Unfortunately she ate about two bites of her cheeseburger....but she managed to eat the entire bowl full of corn! She's our little fruit and veggie girl.

Good News!

I had a MD appt. today with a different OB/GYN to have an ultrasound and try to decide what the plan of action is because my placenta was so low-lying. Turns out that according to the ultrasound my placenta has moved and is now 4cm away from the cervix. This means that I will be able to deliver naturally, although I must admit the ease of scheduling the day of the birth was awfully inviting. We also got one more ultrasound picture, but unfortunately it's the baby's spine and head because our little one was facing posterior.
Eliana is doing better with her sleeping. Her getting out of bed is minimal, but her naps could certainly be longer than the 45 minutes they have become. She is beginning to use the potty a bit more, however we are not pushing things as we know she may regress once the baby is born. If she asks, we put her on it though.

Dr. Berger to the living room STAT!

Eliana's 2nd Birthday Party!

Eliana had a great time at her birthday party. Her daddy wanted to make her a cake and did a great job. She got sooo many presents. Unfortunately though, she was a little too excited about her party and woke up in the middle of the night and stayed up from 10-1 refusing to go to sleep. Uggghhh, Ben and I kept telling ourselves that we can outlast a two year old, but in the middle of the night like that I'm not so sure :)

Balloon Fun

Ben liked having fun with Eliana and her Disney princess balloon.

"Made That"

Eliana wanted her picture taken with her Disney Princess balloon we got her today. She is having her birthday party tomorrow and the theme she picked out was Disney Princesses.
She now runs up to me and tells me she wants her picture taken with whatever object is present. She like to tell me how she "made that", so she wanted her picture with the stickers she put on her notebook.

Children's Museum

Eliana and I met Melissa and Evan at the children's museum on Wednesday, it was Evan's birthday...exactly two weeks after Eliana's.

I'm really not sure what the point is of those little rain jackets, other than to look cute on the kids because they were both soaked.

Making their art projects.
