Little Artist

Yes, every artist does have their own unique style, even if it means wearing their sunglasses in the house. :)

Feeding the Giraffe

On Memorial Day Ben and I took Eliana to the zoo in Green Bay. Ellie got to feed the giraffes although she was quite scared. She clung to Ben's shirt with a really tight grip, but she did feed them. It was funny because the first couple pieces of food she gave them she just threw it at them because she didn't want to get any closer to them.

Lawnmower

Mom got Eliana this lawnmower and she loves it and we haven't even put the bubbles in it yet!

Check out this pose she struck.

Need I say more?

Graduation

As I already mentioned Ben and I went to FVL's graduation. Mom came over to watch Eliana for us. We did manage to get a couple pictures before Eliana wiggled out of our arms to run around in the yard.

Jason's Birthday Dinner

My big brother turned the big 30 yesterday. We went out to dinner to the Outback. He got a Wii from Julie as well as some other family members. I know he'll have a blast playing it, but when he's playing it more than Julie wants I'll have to remind her that she bought it for him.

"Shake Our Sillies Out"

Here's a brief video of Eliana dancing to a song that we learned at storytime. Ben drove his dad to the summer trailer they have on Little Green Lake. Ben's sister Tracey and her husband Chad met him there and will spend the weekend with him. I have been once again sick with lots of coughing, it never fails. Ben and I are getting ready to go to Fox Valley Lutheran's High School Graduation. Ben taught there this year in addition to his regular pastoral duties and also is on the Board of Regents. I'll update the blog more a little later.

A Bit Busy

She takes such good care of her babies, she makes sure they get pancakes too.
This is the new "look" she gives. She likes sticking out her bottom lip.

Sorry I haven't posted in a couple of days. My father in law fell a couple evenings ago so we've had him at our house for a bit as he lives alone. He got up from the lazy boy, passed out and hurt his back pretty good. He's got a couple of Dr. appts here in Appleton. We are trying to get him established up in Appleton because his condo is for sale and since Ben and his sister are both here it doesn't make much sense for him to stay in Iron Ridge, so this sped up the process of us finding him a Dr. here in Appleton.

Lazy Day

These pictures are actually from the other day. Today Ben preached. Ellie was pointing to him and trying to talk to him when he was in front of church. Her new thing is after church she runs to Ben and shakes hands with the people as they walk out, just like her daddy.
She just had to have her sunglasses on....in the house.

Then, she tried to put the glasses on her baby.

Taking pictures of her daddy.

A Couple Quick Snapshots

Mom and I took Eliana to the Menominee Park Zoo in Oshkosh today. Despite all the lake flies I think Eliana had a great time. Here are some of her by Lake Winnebago. She wasn't too sure about the sand .

Ellie's Bathroom Fun

I tried to upload this a couple days ago and it didn't work, so I thought I'd try again. Ellie started to pee the moment I took her diaper off before putting her in the bathtub. So, then I got smart and put her over the toilet the second after I took off the diaper. Well, then I thought about it even more and decided to get her potty out of the box. So, she thinks it's so funny because she wants privacy when she "goes to the bathroom". It's become a game

My New Lens!

Today the nice UPS man (my new friend because of the package he gave me) delivered my new "L" lens. For those of you who don't know "L" in the photography world stands for "L"ots of money and very heavy. I tested it out on a tree outside while Ellie napped.

Then I tested it on mom and Ellie.
.... Then Ellie. I just know this is the look I'm gonna be getting 13 years from now when I tell her she went over her cell phone minutes....again.
