One Year Dr. Appointment

Our precious Eliana is only 17 pounds and therefore can't be turned around in her car seat. This puts her in less than the 5th percentile. Her height is in the 25th percentile at 28 1/2 inches. Her head is a little more than the 50th percentile. She is our little peanut. She did well with Dr. Anderla until he tried to check the inside of her mouth. After that it was all done, she screamed the entire rest of the visit. Once we left the room, she was back to her happy self!

Eliana's First Birthday!

I feel terrible, but we have been sooo busy between Christmas, Eliana's Birthday and Jason and Julie's Wedding, it's been hard to keep up with everything. Eliana was One today. I'm so happy and yet so sad, what happened to my baby. It was so interesting because Ben, Eliana, and I took some treats to the nurses at the hospital where Eliana was delivered and I felt almost like I had felt a year ago. It seems like yesterday. I could go on and on, but I won't. If you're a mom you know what I'm feeling. Anyway, we went to mom's for a bit, then went to the hospital to see the nurses and then opened presents. We had family over for Eliana's birthday cake, what a blast! I'll update more later......when I have a little more time. :) Take care and I hope you all had a great Christmas.

Ellie got her Christmas wish early, she got her TWO FRONT TEETH! I noticed them peeking through when I brushed her teeth tonight, yeah!

Sorry I have been somewhat tardy with the blog. Things are really busy around our home. With every extra minute I have I've been baking and getting ready for Christmas. Eliana is now sick with a cold. We wish she would never get sick, but if she does have to be sick a cold is definately not the worst it could be.

Eliana has been doing many signs lately. She has been doing "more" and "all done". She has started doing "eat" as well. She loves blowing kisses and giving hugs and waving as well as pat a cake.

I can't believe she will be a year in less than a week.

Fun With Eliana

I had given Eliana my cereal bowl when I was finished as she loves to clink the spoon and bowl. I didn't realize there was just a little bit of milk left and she ended up pouring it on top of her head. I went to was her hair and thought I'd try the mohawk look. Poor little girl.

Since we live in a parsonage and Ben works next door he comes home for lunch and snacks. Eliana is always looking for him out the front windows. Now that she's seen him walking back and forth, she thinks everyone that walks past our house is her dad, which unfortunately leads to much crying when they don't come in the house.
