Eliana wanted her picture taken with her Disney Princess balloon we got her today. She is having her birthday party tomorrow and the theme she picked out was Disney Princesses.

Daddy Love
I walked into the living room to find this. Eliana was watching me rub Ben's head and shoulders last night and decided it was her turn to pamper Ben tonight. She always keep us laughing. Thinking of all the joy she's brought us makes us that much more excited to meet this new little one coming in 6 short weeks :)
Eliana did really well today with her nap and bedtime. For nap, she did cry a bit, but then was talking away in her bed before falling asleep. She always used to jabber away like that in her crib. Tonight for bed, she didn't even cry. Now we just hope she sleeps in until 7.

Progress......I think
This morning Ellie and I took mom to her MD appt and physical therapy. She was sooooo good. She and I sat and watched the fish until grandma was ready for us. The staff at the MD office was so happy with the progress mom has made, although they warned her not to overdo it. She's definitely a motivated woman :)
Eliana didn't have a very great nap today. She got out of bed twice before falling asleep, then after sleeping 20 minutes she woke up and coughed for about 15 more minutes....then the fun began. She got out of bed probably 6 times before I decided she was so worked up and wasn't going to go back to sleep. For bedtime tonight though, she was great. She didn't get out of bed once and went to sleep right away. Of course it probably helped that she was sooo tired from not napping.

Updates
We are in the middle of transitioning Eliana to her "big girl room and bed". She has not been a big fan of the change. After some throwing up and extreme crying she is slowly getting used to the change. We wouldn't do it if we didn't have the baby coming in less than 7 weeks. We started off by having me nap with her in the room (I still am sleeping on a different mattress which was in that room because my back has been so bad). Then we just sat in the room until she fell asleep. Now, we're to the point of putting her in her bed and waiting outside the room. We watch the video monitor and wait for her to get out of bed and then place her back in.
Probably the worst part of the whole transition besides the throwing up from her getting so worked up is that she's been getting up so much earlier again. She opens her door and pops into either the room where Ben is sleeping or where I'm sleeping. It's only been a few days and we're praying for her to get comfortable again.
On another note, my mom had surgery on her hand on Friday and is recovering quite well. You really can't slow her down. Ben wants to know why nurses make the worst patients. She is definitely getting sick of being at home, especially after the horrible ice storm we had last night.
Hope all is well and I'll continue to update on both Ellie and mom!

Ben has to preach for church tonight and after that we're heading out to dinner together. Thank goodness I'm finally feeling better. Hope you have a great New Year.

Two Year Check-up
Eliana had her Two Year appt today. What happened to our baby? She according to the scale this time is 24 lbs and is 32 1/2 inches tall. That puts her between the 10th and 25th percentile. She's always been our little peanut. She was definitely excited about the Dr. and her visit because in the middle of her nap she said "Doctor, Doctor", rolled over and fell back asleep. Her ear infection is clearing up and she's all smiles :)

Merry Christmas...and Happy Birthday Eliana!
Our baby girl is two already. We celebrated low key with just Ben and myself as her big party will be Jan. 11th, the same weekend of her baptism. This is a tradition we've started.

First Ear Infection
This morning we ended up taking Eliana to the Dr. She has had a fever since Friday and I was starting to worry since she seemed to be getting worse rather than better. Turns out she has an ear infection, her first one. Although she may very possibly get better on her own without meds, he gave her an antibiotic considering all her nose and chest congestions. I hope by her birthday tomorrow she's feeling a little more like herself.
Almost forgot, Eliana is a whopping 23lbs 12 oz.
